Reports to: Manager of Purchasing & Operations
Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Intern to join our dynamic procurement team. As a Purchasing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the procurement process, assist with sourcing suppliers, manage inventory, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services as required by various departments.
- Help with the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and supplier communications.
- Track and monitor the delivery of goods and services, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ensuring stock availability.
- Help identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to procurement, including filing documents, and updating databases.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any supply chain issues or discrepancies.
- Participate in supplier meetings and contribute to discussions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Preferably a "Junior" or "Senior".
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A proactive, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Familiarity with procurement software or tools is a plus.
