Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical engineering while working alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects. The intern will assist in the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Electrical Project Engineer with in-plant and customer plant start-up.
- Assist with final settings and calibrations.
- Assist with software changes/modifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting.
- Assist with problem log completion and corrective actions.
- Assist Electrical Project Engineers with various tasks:
- Develop electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
- Perform power and heat calculations.
- Color graphics.
- Documentation for projects and Quality system compliance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations on project progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for project improvement.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and circuit design.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AUTOCAD) and programming experience on AB ControlLogix PLC-5, Siemens or Mitsubishi.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment (e.g., multimeters) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
